If I were to be asked I would say that it represents a yearning, or more accurately the need to break out from some form of prison. wither it be physical or psychological or maybe even spiritual. to break from ones shell and venture out of your comfort zone is a powerfully scary thing. even for those more accustomed to exploring the world around them.
